Wurzburger Hofbraukeller in Wurzburg

The staff is very stressed and not exactly friendly despite moderate activity. You have to draw attention to yourself several times to be served. Food is mediocre. The restaurant, especially the toilets, are not very well maintained.

I had dinner today, it was cold and there was no difference between senior plate and normal portion. Except for the price there was a difference of three euros. Last but not least, we had to pay a € hygiene surcharge. Maybe the cleaning lady gets that she cleans the toilet.

Very nice ambience. Big beer garden. Great food. Sufficient parking space.

Service was very nice, not intrusive but attentive. The sauce for the schnitzel could have used a little more whomp, but that's a matter of taste. What bothered me were the cobwebs and the layer of dust on the chandelier and lamps 🤷‍♀️. Otherwise gladly again.

Very nice beer garden, Franconian cuisine and good-sized portions. The food was tasty, but nothing outstanding. Despite the fairly full restaurant, the food went very quickly. The prices were absolutely reasonable.

Most of the waitresses here are friendly but overwhelmed. One waiter, older, was massively unfriendly and complained that we would order so often. No joke. As a paying guest, the waitress will tease you, BECAUSE YOU WOULD ORDER TOO OFTEN. What exactly does the Hofbräukeller business plan look like? So it cannot have anything to do with sales. Neither I, my family, nor my friends will ever go there again. Würzburg has other beer gardens that are at least as beautiful, with better prices and friendlier waiters, where it was understood that schnapps should be chilled.

Nice restaurant right by the brewery with a large beer garden. The food was very good, but the service was neither friendly nor helpful. On the other hand, the food came very quickly, but it wasn't crowded either.

nice beer garden, nice, attentive staff, the food: crust roast ... without crust ... incl. Sauce ... was only lukewarm and tasted like 10 times warmed up ... the dumplings were fresh and good ... the side salad didn't taste like anything ... Dessert: blueberry pancakes ... mushy and tasteless. The cellar beer on tap ... very good! Conclusion: nice, rustic location .... would go back again .. but then just eat a Vesper platter (different ham / sausage and cheese slices with garnish and bread) ... looked very fresh and appetizing ... !!!

Today I celebrated my birthday with 14 guests. The food was very tasty. The staff was quick and very friendly. Special requests (instead of red cabbage, rather 2 dumplings more ... Senior plate)) were met without any difficulties. I can recommend the Würzburger Hofbräu Keller with a clear conscience.

As usual in the usual Hofbräu houses, fast and friendly service. The delicious drinks were brought quickly and the food was consumed. We were amazed at the sporty prices for various dishes and when the food came the disappointment was great: Schnitzel from the deep fryer, the sauce tasted like it came from the packet, mushroom cream sauce was like halved mushrooms with cream pudding - inedible in conclusion. One only ate because of hunger. The pork medallions were not medallions, but you could eat well and taste good. The side salad was simple and loveless, but freshly prepared. When spoken to, the staff assured them that the sauces were homemade, but confirmed that the schnitzel came from the deep fryer. The ambience is great, especially the beer garden is cozy. To enjoy a cold beer is fine. All in all, however, we would not come back.

With a recommendation we went to the "Würzburger Hofbräukeller", located directly on the brewery site. The portions of the food were quite large and the taste was excellent. The beer was also very good and the service very friendly. A reason to come back.

A visit to this brew pub / restaurant is an absolute must when traveling to Würtzburg. Your mouth and palate will be pampered with the best freshly brewed and bottled beer. This takes place in a cozy and relaxing setting, the menu also offers a large selection of exciting local food. All this is served by casual and friendly waiters.

Essen was 0815. Long waiting times for drinks. The prices more expensive than in the city center of Munich. And then there is a 50 cent hygiene surcharge per person. Plus an additional 50 cents hygiene surcharge because you want to pay with a card.

The question about the reserved table (16 people) was taken rather unclearly and with an unfriendly look, as we had an hour delay. A small part of us was on time / but the name could not be assigned correctly. Place was offered after our planned table was taken, then offered outside. (Rainy day) Our waitress was friendly and patient. Some guests in the round took longer to choose. The food was nice presented. Average in taste. The children's playground is great! On the whole, the bad mood of the staff at the welcome was disturbing. Pity!

Traditional German food and beer. Very old style and very German. Friendly staff and cheap food. All good. Food a very good price and good choice of beer. Not much alternatives if you don't like traditional German food of meat and potatoes.

Too loud, average waiting time exceeds 20 mins, the staff is not always friendly and attentive... but the selection of beers is excellent

The place is nice, under the Castanie Tree but the food is not so special. They serves the standard big kitchen food, fast food! Overtouristed!! the waitresses and service are really worst. They fight each other to serve the customer. Someone losed her reserved place because the resto isn't well organized. I won't come again and it is not recommended. Another german kitchens are better in Würzburg.

Great German food! They have several items on the meni that are not easily accessible in other German restaurants. Only problem was the beer choices, not a fan of the Wu Hof (although Sternla is nice)
